Seven-day MTB stage race, the biggest in the Americas and for 15 years the flagship of Brazilian mountain biking; UCI-listed, raced solo (elite) or in pairs, with amateurs and pros in the same field. The venue changes: after years in the Chapada Diamantina (Bahia), the 2026 edition went through Paraíba for the first time, from João Pessoa on the coast into the hills of the Brejo to Serra da Raiz – 566.6 km and 8,791 m of climbing over seven stages. The race returns to Paraíba in 2027.

About the event
Brasil Ride is a UCI-accredited mountain bike stage race in which amateurs and professionals start solo, in pairs or in teams of three. The Solo Elite category requires a UCI or CBC licence; licensed elite riders may not race in teams. Teams must ride the entire distance together; a gap of more than two minutes to a partner counts as separation and is penalised. There are age categories from 40, 50 and 60 years as well as special classifications, for instance for pairs who each weigh over 90 kg or for triathletes who have completed one long-distance or two middle-distance (70.3) races. The minimum age is 19, and a medical certificate must be presented at accreditation.
Each stage has a time limit; riders who miss it continue with a yellow number plate without being classified, and only those who complete every stage within the limit count as finishers. Help may only come from team partners and participants in the same category, and there is one neutral tech station per stage. An E-Bike Expedition without classification runs alongside.
The entry fee includes a single tent and meals in the Vila Brasil Ride, luggage transport, bike wash and a guarded bike park (2026). After 15 years in Bahia, the race was held in Paraíba for the first time in 2026; access is via João Pessoa airport (JPA), around 11 km from the city centre. Anyone who has finished three Brasil Ride stage races is admitted to the "Guarini Club".
