Mountain bike race in early November in northern Michigan, from Kalkaska to Traverse City over roughly 30 miles of short, punchy climbs, often in cold weather; riders start in waves. There is also the shorter Slush Cup over nine miles and the Sno-Cone kids’ race; before the race the Ice Cycle Expo takes place at the Grand Traverse Resort.
