Classic 100 km race from Cathedral Square in Christchurch over the Port Hills and Banks Peninsula to Akaroa, held since 1999. The route climbs Dyers Pass, Gebbies Pass, the long ascent to the Hilltop and the Summit Road; professionals and amateurs start together, with results by age group. Besides the individual race there are tandem, two-rider relay (changeover in Little River), four-rider teams and mountain bike and e-bike classes.
