A five-stage mountain bike stage race from Cusco through the Sacred Valley of the Incas via Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu, about 176 km and 3,364 m of climbing in total at up to 4,208 m altitude. The first two stages are short acclimatisation days around Cusco (15 and 34 km), the third is the longest. There are solo classes and two-rider teams (men, women, mixed); the race week from 15 to 21 September includes arrival and closing days.
