Hill climb on the Mount Washington Auto Road to the summit of the highest peak in the north-eastern USA (6,288 ft), often called the toughest hill climb in the USA: 7.6 miles, all uphill. The race has been held for more than 50 years and benefits the Tin Mountain Conservation Center; registration opens each January. The 2027 date has not yet been published.
