The "Hell of the North" crosses around 30 cobbled sectors in northern France and traditionally finishes with a lap of the velodrome in Roubaix. Sectors such as the Arenberg Forest, Mons-en-Pévèle and the Carrefour de l’Arbre make it the toughest classic of the year; the winner receives a cobblestone as a trophy.
