Fully supported multi-day cycling tour through the Western Ghats in southern India, held since 2008. From Mysuru it heads via Madikeri and Sultan Bathery through Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu up to Ooty in the Nilgiri Hills, followed by loops from Ooty with a rest day. Accommodation, meals, luggage transfer, mechanics and medical support are included in the price.

About the event
The Tour of Nilgiris is a fully supported group tour run largely by volunteers; according to the organiser more than 1,500 riders have taken part since the first edition in 2008, and 2026 sees the 17th edition. Instead of the full week, riders can also book a half tour with three riding days, either the first or the second half (2026). The best-known climb of past editions is Kalhatti, with 36 hairpins over 12 km.
Each riding day starts at 7 am after breakfast and a briefing. Along the route there are three to five support stations with cut-off times, a motorcycle patrols and a sweep truck follows the last group. There is no riding after sundown: anyone still on the road by then gets into the sweep truck. Riders must be able to fix their own flat. A doctor, physiotherapist, nurse and ambulance accompany the tour; each rider may bring one bag of up to 65 litres.
In 2026 the pre-tour briefing takes place in Mysuru the day before, with that night's accommodation included; from Bangalore airport the organiser recommends the Flybus to Mysuru. The 2026 tour ends in Ooty (the route changes every year); riders arrange their own return journey and bike transport, and Coimbatore airport is 130 to 140 km away.
