Non-stop mountain bike marathon held since 2004 for teams of two to four riders through the Baviaanskloof, a UNESCO World Heritage wilderness area in South Africa. The 230 km route from Willowmore to Jeffreys Bay crosses passes such as the “Mother of all Climbs” and many river crossings, with much of it ridden at night. Finisher medals go to everyone who arrives within 24 hours; the field is limited to 500 teams.
