Transcontinental Race

Probably Europe's best-known self-supported ultra-cycling race, founded by Mike Hall in 2013. A single-stage race with no rest days: riders plan their own route between four mandatory checkpoints and cover around 4,000 km. The 12th edition in 2026 started in Trondheim and went via the Tatras and Sarajevo, among other places.
